Adult Learners' Week campaign theme
Get skilled and get on famously

star1Once again, we're getting behind Adult Learners' week big-time with a pan-Wales advertising promotion.

At NIACE Dysgu Cymru, we’re proud to orchestrate some of the most successful adult learning promotions in Wales. Last year alone, over 23,000 learners responded to our three campaigns – Taking Control in January, Adult Learners’ Week in May and Sign Up Season in August.

star2We want to show how learning can help people get on famously in their lives. That’s why we’re launching our ‘Getting on famously’ learning campaign. We have recruited real-life learners with famous names to star in our TV commercials and advertising campaigns.

Who else can say that they have Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Julia Roberts, Dylan Thomas or Lucy Cohen starring in their commercials?

star3If you know of anyone with a famous name, we want to hear from them. Please ask your ‘famous learner’ to e-mail stephen.martin@niacedc.org.uk or ring Steve on 029 2037 0900 for a chat. We’ll then contact them to see if they would be happy to take part in our promotion. If they do, just think of the great PR opportunities for your organisation!

Promoting Adult Learners' Week in your area

This year we are taking the promotion of Adult Learners' Week to another level, with a potent mix of peak time TV and heavy weight national radio advertising, supported for the first time ever with outdoor activity on buses and train stations.

TV Commercials
Starring on the box
We'll be on the box again this year, with another national campaign of TV commercials on ITV Wales and S4C being planned. The spot times for the TV commercials are currently being prepared and we hope to get them in time for our next edition. So watch this space.

580,000 What's On guides
Driving the message home
In the meantime, take a look at the What's On guides coverage table. It features the media details for the distribution of our 'What's On guides'. Four regional 'What's On guides' are being published, with over 580,000 copies being inserted into local newspapers around Wales. To keep you informed of the activity in your area, we have listed where and when all the guides will appear.
